sand!!

well when i switched substrates i put my fish in a bucket with an air stone.
it less stressful for the fish IMO..

however, i have heard of people doing it with the fish in the tank..if its a ray, i would definitely remove the ray before taking out and putting in the substrates.

ok all substrate has been removed i have a bare bottom now.. too scared to put the play sand in you know where i could order the 3m colorquartz from? I need to order some cause i heard to many bad things about the play sand and im not about to add to it
 
if you have a leslies pool supply store get there brand of pool filter sand. but any brand will work.
