Since arapaima are air breathing fish, it needs to go up for air. While I was at school it wedged itself under a peice of slate in my tank and couldnt go up for air so it drowned, at first I didnt believe it but then when I asked the LFS that I bought it from about it they said its happened to them before too.

So with your lack of research before buying such fish you provided a sitsuation in which the fish could die.

SO YES, THIS FISH DIED BECAUSE OF YOU, IT WAS YOUR FAULT.

I read plenty on this fish, thats like somebody hitting your car and them saying "its your fault for not speeding up when i was racing up behind you" and if you remember correctly I had nothing to do with buying the fish

the arow is about 3 inch,im only keeping him in for 24 hours...

And what are you going to do in 24 hours? Surely you didnt think you would be able to cure ick in a day...

Deep blue sea, the fact that you even thought about being able to keep a pima for a couple months is already foolish...whether or not you actually bought the fish is irrelevant...

Are you not the one that set up the tank and created the trap?
