Sexy Plumbing - Island Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The exterior box still had to be drilled for the vertical lines. This is why the box is wider on one side. To hide the bad holes and use my new symmetrical ones visually.

Built a new template to distribute the lines evenly.

After shaving the bottom another 2mm it’s ready to install.

Last update on the boxes and we’ll move on to plumbing.

Trying to decide if the red handles should vertically centered at exactly 10.5” or if they should be lower. Both the overflow union valves as well as the return union valve are level mocked up at 10.5” for now.

Return 1” union valve handle at 10.5”

Made a pretty significant mistake and set myself back a few days. Ended up having to scrap the overflow box and start over.

I added 1/2” material around the edge of the box to accommodate more room for the union valves. After bonding the strips I realized there is no longer access to the BH nut.. better to rebuild fresh

Truthfully I’m glad because there were a couple small flaws that the new box gave me a chance to correct. The additional 1/2” in the 4.5” (front to back) is part of a single cut now.

^ should have this box drilled and solvent welded to the tank this afternoon

The interior box is 100% finished and installed now. I modified the lid and added two small anchor pieces that slide in between OF teeth. It’s a tight fit between the box and roof of the tank

I matched the strips to the teeth on the reverse of the box as a template. These should lock it in place without needed another 1/4” up and over.
