hm ive never really been a dat fan... but for every fish id rather breed my own then grow them up... I think people just dont have the time nor tank space to do so. I dont think they should get flamed for these actions. I like where your going with this though , i would donate to a dat recover fund.

made a blog so that even nonMFKers can participate, so ... spread the words
im not sure if im allow to post a link here, but i believe tis is for a good cause....
hopefully we can get a band of dat lovers, researchers, scientist and all Together to make this happen ....

Dude dats have never been captive breed. Have you read the rest of this thread??? People have big groups in PONDS so time and space isnt the problem. Yeah i can tell your not a dat fan. Feel free to read the rest of the thread.

i did heard of one myth that japanese have somehow "made" em in labs, but sorta failed , resulting in many deformed dat.... just a myth

Asian arowanas where never captive bred until somone just decided to use distilled water , and boom.... baby captive bred asian arowanas. Most people dont have tank space nor the time... i said MOST. I think breeding takes time and special attention and many different tests. I read through the whole thread , freely i might add , and think that this is a good direction. Someone needs to find out how to breed these and i think with a good support group and testing different things it can be done. Your right though , i am not a dat fan . I love fish though and protecting them is still a part i believe in. I would do anything for moray eels and if someone wasnt educated in them and just said they thought it was a good idea , id be happy they posted positive feedback on my thread. I am not trying to be ignorant in anyway, but i feel tension towards me in your post.

My original post stated nothing of me thinking dats where already being bred , i was just saying i think for the enviorment its always best to breed fish rather than stealing them from the wild. Sorry you couldnt comprehend my post , but i like this OP and his dedication to a particular fish , and his will to save them. Thats is all .....

I comprehend just fine....You were the one that was talking as if they havent been trying to breed dats. Thats why i said what i said. They have been trying for years with still no luck. The same people that breed asians aros are the same people trying with dats so whatever tricks they have you know they are trying them. And yes i agree breeding will always help out the wild population.
