i just heard about this yesterday.
all i can say is they knew the risks,its not the whale's problem,its the keepers'.
why put down an animal you KNEW had killed before,and still took the risk of messing with it?
people can be really stupid when it comes to dealing with animals.
i say let the whale live.

of course we dont give them as much room as they would have in the wild.
but killer whales are much more intelligent creatures than a fish is and would probably not adapt as well as a fish would.

Are you serious? First of all, your not even comparing apples to oranges(much less apples to apples). Your comparing apples to a coconut. Fish VS Mammal. Fish relay on instinct. Whales rely on instinct and the ability to learn. Orca's are second, only to humans in intelligence throughout the entire animal kingdom. In other words, they know what they are doing at all times. The only place these animals belong is in the ocean. Trust me, I'm no PETA type; matter of fact, I thoroughly HATE peta and consider them terrorist in their own right. I'm just saying whats on my mind i'm not flaming you. You'd know if I were.
