Really?! It says so on the bottle! Well I know it wont in a standard dose, but since the stuff is so dang concentrated I was concerned of over doing it and depleting the o2 as one cap full treats 50gal and its kind of hard to measure 1/25th a cap full to treat 2 gallons. lol

Mike is that what you use or something else?

Frankly I think a fish that hasnt eaten in around a week should produce a relatively small amount of ammonia right?

Ive tossed in bio-balls from my sump before too. In principal I suppose it should work.

I do not use anything for ammonia remover when I ship, Just make sure the ray is purged very well. But when I import I will put a small amount in bag when acclimating a ray if I feel the water if foul. And yes a full cap is not good idea use mush less dose.

agree but i prefer hikari ultimate for that... it can be dosed 10x tank volume prime only 5 but is also non sulfer based...

I understand the concept silly...lol

Question is do you guys think it actually works? BB dies pretty fast IMO. Thou I guess it depends on what you call fast? Also if the rays have been purged then what ammonia would they have to feed on?

Live bacteria starts to die as the O2 depletes = ammonia spike. I'd stick to the KISS method, purge, enough water, double bagged, and O2 added.
