Should I rescue this Oscar??

Thanks for the nice comments, guys! I knew this guy was a keeper the moment I saw him, despite being clobbered by the RDs.

He's doing SO WELL this morning. He looks like he has a new interest in life and is checking out every inch of his hospital tank. I'm going to do daily water changes until I can get him in the 90g. I lost a Midas to HITH so I'm really paranoid about this guy staying healthy. :-) I'll be sure to post more pics after he's back to his former glory!

hes doesn't look to bad i don't care to much for those kinds of oscars but that one looks good doesn't look to beat up its good to hear that your concerned about HITH they can get it pertty eazy

those poor red devils aren't even full grown they get around 12'' i hope some one saves them to
 
I bought him for $25. I know you can find free full-grown Oscars easily but I'm a sucker for a rescue and will open my wallet faster than you can say, "Rip-off!" It was pretty sad to see him cornered in that tank with all the devils closing in on him.
 
Kind of high for a beat up fish but not too bad and I understand the sentiment. We paid 700 for an operation on a ferret and 4000 to have a 25 dollar pound dog put back together after an accident. Nice save and hope he brings you much happiness.
 
yeah that was a little steep on the price you shoulda tried haggeling them some I'm sure they would of went down just to get rid of the fish
Otherwise nice save, and those wounds aren't reallt all that bad he'll be fine in no time at all Oscars heal pretty fast IME
