So by your logic the Browns owner was the worst also? Jacksonville?
It's a known fact Jerruh Jones is the worst owner in the NFL. Have you seen his rap commercial?
Look at his tenure. Controversy after controversy. I don't know how any of you can defend his success. The browns have a history of sucking, not a creation by a new owner.
1st the name, speaking as a Navajo and IME with other natives, NO the name doesnt bother most of us at all, as a matter of fact some of us buy/ wear jersies with thoses logos cause we like the team or even just the logo. Next youre throwing fake tommahawks at the game, still no issue with me. Befor long in an attempt to rally or encourage your team youre doing your best Indian on the warpath imitation in a neon war bonnet, now Im offended, to me thats over the top. Today, nobody hesitates to push the envelope and this sort of thing goes on every other redskins game. I guess what I mean is, NO I personally wouldnt exert any energy to change a name of a team, I just dont care what sports fans are up to, BUT, Im not gonna be the guy that says, "yea, its cool, roll with it."
So you think maybe something should be done about it, as long as it's not you.

I just wanted to put a natives perspective out there, I personally pick my own battles, this issue really doesnt matter to much to me. Actually I have a bigger issue with sports fans as a whole, but thats another subject.
Too many sports fans take it way too serious anyway and that starts from kids games on up. As you say, another topic.
I don't think they should change it. When the name was chosen it was never ment to put down Indians in fact it was ment to honor Indians. Redskin fans wore the logo with Pride. But we live in a stupid dumb down society today where a little 7yr old boy get suspended from school for pretending to shoot a machine gun with his pencil playing with his friends.
You really think the rich fat cat created the team name to honor them? I think he just wanted something cool that hadn't already been done that had some historical or regional significance. Could care less about the potential impact
I'm sure that it was named only to honor the brave fighting spirit of the Native Americans. Highly doubt that coolness or money had any impact what so ever in the choice.
