NO! He should have ran them over with their own van. If I were on the jury and the man ran them over and killed them all after steeling their van, he would NOT be going to jail. If you voted yes on this, you are a tool.

step two lock the van

step three walk in tell then to drop the stuff and lay down or there going to have a large hole in them

step four call the cops

This is probably the best option. Why everyone would rather steal the van or Kill people is beyond common reasoning.

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa cry me a river. bet if a home invasion happened to you youd feel a little different. what if somebody broke into your house and killed your wife/SO and/or kids? would you still want to give those criminals all those rights and protection? would you still hide like a coward and wait for the police to show up?

dude you dont get it. what if you do all these things, but when you pull the gun on them they flee. or what if they reach for a gun? too many variables for you to say that shooting a robber is completely wrong

Whoa there Mr. thinkswithhisgun. I do believe, that in the story being debated, no one was killed or even threatened. Yeah if someone killed my wife or family then that would be a different scenario. Guy was being robbed and he stole their van. Did you read the OP?

and wtf is all this talk about stealing? nobody would want to "steal" their van. its not like if the guy took the van and drove down the local chop shop to sell it for parts. he didnt yank the seats out and post them on ebay. he merely took the van so the bad guys couldnt drive away. he was just "borrowing" it.

Because they are in YOUR HOME with no good intention what so ever. They initiated the confrontation. Whatever they get, they had coming. It's the risk they took to get your stuff.
