Go ahead...It might knock some sense into ya. :grinno:
:ROFL:I just think that a homeowner should be able to defend his family and property from intruders any way that they think of.These guys got away so whothinks that they are not going to try it again knowing what is there for the taking.Just dont let this fellow become a politician.

so did I, guess you missed post #38

It's not beyond common reasoning, it's home and family protection. If someone's in my house, I'm not going to sit them down around the dinner table with a warm cup of coffee and discuss why they wanted to come take my things. I'm going to let them plead their case with my shotgun. It's too risky, IMO to give them a chance to do anything stupid, you don't know if they're armed or not. The criminal obviously knows the risk of what they're doing and if they don't then that is one stupid a** criminal. If you break into someone's house and don't think they won't defend themselves, you're probably not smart enough to actually break in, in the first place.

Two wrongs do not make a right. If he was able to get outside to the van then the proper procedure would have been to get the license plate number then call the police. Stealing a car is stealing a car.

what if they werent stealing a tv- but kidnapping a friend or family member, THEN would it be ok to steal the car?

A similar crime.

A man broke into a house where the family was away on vacation, and went into the garage. The doors were locked behind him. The garage door opener was non-functional. The bandit remained in the garage eating dog food and pooping in a bucket for nearly two weeks. The bandit was charge, but sued the family for over $60,000.00 for some "term" I do not recall.
This can't be true...If it is that is really really sad.

On a side note, woo another Canadian MFK'er!
