what are your nitrates at? he looks pretty happy to me.
:screwy: another Fish Whisperer. that tank is cleary TOO SMALL for those fish

my lfs has a silver aro for sale. its at about 4-5 inches. he swims and looks like he was just chewed up and spit out in my opinion, but maybe thats how they are when they are small? he wasnt injured but idk...

TSN can surpass 3ft from my readings but again a larger tank would be preferred. You are choosing fish that a 180g would be the BARE minimum for once they grow up. Why not go for something that will be a little more comfortable in your 180g?

Why not some Oscars or Jags or JDs and a Lima Shovel nose?

Juvi Aros are very fragile, he was likely just damaged in shipping. Most Juvis I've seen have torn fins.

i was actually considering a LSN for my 180g tank with some oscars and if i did get the jardini. i could do 3 LSN's in a 360g tank with a silver aro, which ive upgraded plans to.

well one of my tank is going to be 180g, with 3 oscars, 1 BGK, and a LSN. my big tank will be 3 LSN, 3 oscars, 1 silver aro

i heard that arowana like to have a light left on and that they get less jumpy this way and dont try to jump out. would actinic lighting work as a night light for them? that way it leaves a light on for them but doesnt disturb the other fish tanks.
