that fish looks happy and healthy to me. fish arnt people, they are content just swimming about.

If the fish is content on just swimming then wouldn't you want to give it a larger tank, more room to swim in.;)

A guideline for arowana tank size, The length of the tank should be at least 3x the length of the arowana. The width/depth of the tank should be at least equal the the aros length.

So with that said your 90g will be good for an aro up till the 16 or 17" range.

So how long will it take? Well silver aros grow on average of 1 to 1.5" per month, some a little quicker some slower. Depends on the size aro you start with, at best though you'll need a bigger tank within a year or sooner.

what planet are you from 808? arowana needs at least 180 gallons, and a 26 gallons bowfront does not cut it...... if kept in there long enough that fish will grow into the shape of a bowl and die

I would ask the same of you. Which of 808's quotes are you refering to?

I've not read all the thread which i know is not good, but i asked a question about tank size and asian arows about 12 months ago. I listened to the advice and i now have a 2ooGAL tank cycling. I will be putting an R.T.G. in it once it's cycled and i've learnt to keep the water perameters correct. This is also part of my point.
Why do things backward, buy the tank before you buy the fish. learn about the water and your set up before you buy the fish. Decorate the tank the way you want it before you buy the fish, learn what it'll eat before you buy the fish.
In other words the last thing you should do with an arow set up is buy the fish.
