Great SD's all. Didn't know there are quite a variety of silver dollars! I had a couple of common ones once. Thinking of keeping them again in a community tank.

alright then. ive got java fern, crypts, and anubias. ive heard that tSDs will leave crypts alone, and that anubias are tough for most herbovirous fish to eat, so it seems like i should have good luck with SDs.

anyone know where i can get myleus schomburki (black bar characin) in bay area, via website lfs or any other method?

also how should i prepare vegetable matter for the sd's they seem more picky with the greens than they should be?

try nuking them in the microwave, or adding just a wee bit or garlic to them before putting them in the tank.

anubias has worked for me, but the sd's ate the new growth leaves.
