Silver Dollar v Plants

i added more java ferns 2 days ago.. so far so good... hope for the best

Mine ravenously mowed down my plants, including anubias. Had to remove and replace with silk plants.

I did have porthos floating in my tank with SDs. Did quite well until I gave the SDs to the pet store and swapped for Marbled Head standers...

I keep my silver dollars in a heavily planted tank. All I get is a nibble here and there. Every once in a while they'll pull one out.

Ok that's cool. What type of plants are you using? I re-scaped by removing the remnants of the amazon swords, and replacing with a heap of bolbitis and java fern. I haven't put my silver dollars back in because I don't want them to detsroy the plants

I have Elodia and Blue Stricta in the tank.

But it does help to feed them well.
