a silver saum IS a "true Green Terror"

wrong, do you reasearch before you post about that issue, sombody can post Tom Lorenz's article about that whole deal, i'm way to tired to explain the whole deal, and get everybody's facts straight.

saums are not "True GT's".

Comments:This fish was first imported in the U.S. in 1972 and is the first and only true "Green Terror". On the other hand, 'Aequidens' sp. "Goldsaum" is commonly labeled as "Green Terror" in shops across North America, it is not. See Alf Stalsberg site for more information http://home.c2i.net/Cichlid-Power

read Ace's article, Silver saum is another varinet of saum, not a True Gt'-"Aequidens rivulatus".

as stated in your link there the common name is Green terror, which is the common name used for all saums, but it was the name for the speices orgininally described in 1972, the green terror (True) which died out of the hobby for many years. and just of recent have been brough back, through Tom and Mr.Rapps. the green terrors of the last 15 years described was the name taken and given to fish older hobbyists known as Saums. Gold, and Silver..

your cichlid forum article is wrong :)

And heres what I found on the rivulatus

Common Name(s): False Green Teror

Comments:Many experienced aquarists label this fish as "Green Terror", it is not. That honor goes to 'Aequidens' sp. "Silversaum". See Alf Stalsberg site for more information http://home.c2i.net/Cichlid-Power

i have owned 8 true Gt's in the past year (5 still) F0-from rapps, and F1's from Tom. read the link i put up.

the fish i bought from rapps- same as tom breeding fish, were sold As True Gt's (rivulatus).

i'm takeing a look a your threads and you obviously aren't a mega expert on Ca/Sa's. so i wouldn't give anybody advice to believe your major imput of just plain old taken info from a cichlid website (which is falsely informed on these species.)

I did read the link and he says silbersaums and silversaums are two different fish
