Since most of us dislike WalMart

Yeah I saw this story when it happened. Gotta say, if I were in the same situation, I probably wouldve done the same. Lawsuits and job security wouldve been the last thing on my mind. Eliminating the threat would have been first and foremost and I wouldve been fired too. Way too many what ifs in a situation like that. No what's ifs if the guy no longer had the gun...

Wise man once say
"It is better to be Fired from Warmart
than to be Wired to a Warr"

Sometimes doing the right thing gets you in trouble nowadays. But if the shoplifter got away with the stolen merchandise - so what? What if the gunman started shooting at the employees while being held down? I always look at things at a legal standpoint nowadays. Everyone is greedy these days. I've worked retail before and I witnessed a guy stuffing a camera down his jacket - I watched and smiled away. Not my store - not worth the trouble.

i'm not sure i'd want to go against wal-marts group of lawyers but i wonder if they'd have a legitimate case to sue. Considering it took a week to fire them wal mart hr has already given them the green light to fire them but a great lawyer could probably make these men rich

Didn't know there was a town named after me COOL!
I don't know the circumstances as I wasn't there but the guy apparently said I'll leave if you let me so in my opinion they did act foolishly yet they were under the situation of life and death

Imagine when the dude pulled out the gun, the 4 walmart employees just pack their bags and say "None of my business...."

That's SO,SO wrong! They should all work for someone better. Their talents should not be missed out! Hopefully they will find better jobs real soon :)

Banks have the same policy also. You must avoid confrontation at all times. You are told to give away the farm with no resistance and if you do resist… you will get fired and when you follow the policy… you get a bonus.
