SKKP Fry

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's not that he would let another fish fertilize the eggs its something you have probably noticed as I have and thats when you have a pair in a community tank and when their doing their thing you have this one male that isn't paired up with anything keeps getting as close as he can to the nest ready to fertilize and trying to while being chased away repeatedly not saying hes not fertile cause syns can only fertilize eggs after growing so big but theres a strong possibility either way can't wait for updates

face it. The man got a fertile male kkp. Dont complicate yourself with your ignorance. One family picture of them says it all already.

all this talk about another fish fertilizing the eggs is over thinking and not believing, or denying

I noticed when I was checking out your tank that your green Texas was always on that side of the tank with your breeding pair.

No way. Unless somehow he fertilized them from across the tank... but he tries to come even close and Nightmare kicks his ass. I definitely think he's got a fertile SKKP!

Haha, you asked for it now! She's says it's legit than it's legit. Thanks for everyone's post. I guess we'll have to see what happens.

Bro maybe you ought to weigh in the percent of male mammons that are fertile. Sadly you may be the ignorant one. I'm not saying his mammon is infertile. Saying there are other male fish in the tank who are fertile. This pair has tried at least 8 times and the eggs never hatched. Maybe they got lucky this time. But there is a chance that the dad is the gt. We don't know till he grows them out.

I see both points of view, which is why I posted this. I understand how unlikely a fertile male skkp is but on the other hand I watch my tank and I know how unlikely it is that another fish was able to fertilize those eggs. In reality I will be happy with whatever outcome. My male mammon is probably in my top two favorite fish so I'm obviously rooting for him, plus how sick would it be to have a fertile skkp:D. Thanks for the input guys!

Hopefully so on most strains known to have a high chance of being infertile the ones that are proven fertile are tested at the least nine times like I said with syns before they can fertilize eggs have to mature first

That's what's great about this hobby. The surprises and how we connect with others. We rejoice other peoples success and are there for people when they suffer loss. It's an amazing hobby.
