A little update. These guys are getting big fast. I've never had fry before so I've been worrying about keeping them feed but I'm thinking their fast growth spurt is due to my overfeeding and it seems to be working. Mom and dad are great parents (whether dad is actually dad or not, either way he's a great parent.) Naturally, there has been a decrease in some and there is about a good 30 to 40 fry left. I snapped some pics because these big guys are happy and are out swimming with mom and dad. ENJOY!

I have a 40 breeder that just needs a heater. I was thinking about putting the more aggressive ones in there if I got a heater but right now I'm broke and don't see that happening. When the fry get bigger I was thinking about transferring them all to the 40.

So coincidently, I just got a heater for my birthday to go into the tank. Any suggestions? Or when do you think these fry will be big enough to be moved into the 40?

I have 8 fish in the tank up to 4 to 5 inches. They're in a 130 gallon aquarium right now. Moving them into a 40 gallon just won't work. I might have to just put a couple of the bullies in there to be safe.

Nah removing the other fish may disturb the parents. May as well net out the fry as best you can.
