Great Whites are extrmely smart. I was watching a show on them last night and some of the things they showed were just amazing. They actually poke their heads out of the water to see what's going on!!!

I think any fish that can figure out how to get out of its tank when it has a sealed top is smart, but stupid at the same time.

i think i saw the same show, but what about a captive monster? They tried to keep a GW in ... Morrow Bay Aquarium (anybody remember?) but it didnt work too well.

Monterey bay aquarium. My oscar seemed smart, at least much more trainable than any other fish i have owned. (the aquarium here in morro bay is small and crappy lol)

I saw that show too:D

after watching many irridescent sharks swim around they have got to be some of the dumbest...they will have they're nose against a piece of glass and swim as hard as they can to try to get away. but on the other hand the people that buy these guys to go in a 20g are even dumber.
smartest is a lot harder. there are many smart fish i've kept over the years. my red devil was very smart. as are my monster cats (all of em i've kept so far).
as for closing this thread, there is no need. it was created all in fun and some people will take offense to anything. so for them, get a life and quit getting mad at the internet. and for everyone else that got the thread keep on having fun

thats what i meant

Truly mean fish simply don't impress me any more than the people who are attracted to them do. However fish with problem solving abilities....now THAT's impressive. I can put food under a jar in my RTC's tank and she'll move things around until she manages to get it out. Of course she also loves taking the lower section of the filter pick up tubes off and pushing them out of the tank....
