So my buddy and I want to try and go snakehead fishing sometime this summer. Where would our best bet be? We are looking for somewhere in Pa or Md.

I know someone wants to give their secret spot away :naughty:

Northern snakeheads were 1st confirmed in Pennsylvania in July 2004 after an angler caught and preserved two from the 17-acre Meadow Lake in Philadelphia county...
a pair were discovered in a Maryland pond. Northern snakeheads have been found in Florida, North Carolina, California and Massachusetts.
Anglers catching snakeheads should dispose of them properly. Anglers suspecting they have caught a snakehead are encouraged to NOT release it, and report it to the Commission at 610-847-2442 or via email.

It is unlawful for a person to sell, purchase, offer for sale or barter live snakehead species in Pennsylvania.
It is unlawful to possess live snakehead species in Pennsylvania.
It is unlawful to introduce or import live snakehead species into Pennsylvania waters.
Transportation of live snakehead species in or through Pennsylvania is prohibited.

i dont know where to catch snakeheads but i know of a few spots to catch bowfins here in the trenton area

Catch & kill illegal in Pa to have. non native species dumped into waterways

Meadows Pond in Queens NY. Slightly off the map for you but I know the DEC went to setting traps there to try to solve the problem, but it was kept more hush-hush than the Crofton Snakehead incident.

I'd like to find out where this was taken...

When you catch one, eat it. I had to see an animal die for no reason and they actually taste good. I have visited... Im still in Asia and they eat them over here.
