snakehead fishing

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I highly doubt that i live in dc and am a avid fisher and i have never ever ever seen one snake head walking dc streets or in the Potomac river for that matter.[/qutoe]
don't know bout walkin in the streets but even a novice fisherman can catch them in the Potomic ;)

The mention of them walking the streets in DC was meant to be a political joke.

...and the problem with political jokes...is they get elected.

Looking for people to go sh fishing this spring in the md/va/dc area. Unfortunately I dont know where the hot spots are so, maybe someone can show us or be some kind of a guide for us. Thanks

I'd like to find out where this was taken...
this might have already been covered but this is the site this pic is from http://www.bowfinanglers.com/incidental.html and this is what the angler says. "I spent the last year in Thailand where we caught and ate some Giant Snakehead, Cobra Snakehead, & Striped Snakehead. I couldn't wait to try my luck in home waters for our version (the Bowfin). In Thailand, the snakeheads were not bad eating. The small one is a baby Giant Snakehead, while the large one is a grown Giant Snakehead"

Were is every one fishing i have never seen a snake head in the Potomac i heard on the news they were being coughs but never seen one in person. So where are these spots were every one is seeing them at i would love to catch one. Just thinking about fighting one of those things in a tug of war gets me so fired up man.

Look for shallow water or creeks. they're EVERYWHERE in the potomac. my buddy catches them on a regular basis...
