Sad to say, but it getting the dish soap bath was probably the best thing for it. Poor Pacu in a 5g

I feel your pain. I can't stand when people are that stupid or cruel. I will have to with BPags52 though dead with soap is much cleaner than trying to live in a 5g.
thats just sad. i wish ppl would stop cramming pacu's into tiny tanks, and i wish the lfs would stop selling them-period. they are just not aquarium fish.
UGH you aren't gonna like this, at all, the teacher might be getting another 'piranah' next year.

the avarage person would never think of abusing animals....... but the avarage person also dosent consider a fish an animal (hence the department of fish and wildlife..... hmm fish arnt wildlife ? 
) in my school in our math classroom (which is actualy another teachers room but we use it for math (long story) theres this 10 gallon tank. whats in it ? a pleco a decent sized one at that. do they do water changes? no way do they have a filter no do they feed it ? oh big surprise NOPE i mean seriously?!?! its lived for a couple of years too (it used to be in a different teachers care who actualy did water changes and the tank was kept in the sunlight cause he thought all they ate was algae and thats probably the only reason hes still alive) this new teacher tihnks it just eats its own **** all day i hope this thing dosent live much longer i hate watching it suffer every math class oh i just remembered they put in 4 platys earlyier this year i wonder what happend to them maybe mr eats poop ate em

Of all the fish, why the pacu/piranha (regardless of what the ignoramuses deal with)? Why not a betta or anything else that will fit a 5g perfectly? Shrimps and snails are perfectly suitable in there.
You know that we're in a sad state of being when students know more than the teachers that are supposed to know about particular topics.
id "donate" a bigger tank, and pull off some info on pacus to give to her just to educate her a little on "pirannha's" errr... i mean pacu size. if she wont listen id go to the principal and try to dissuade him from letting her get a pacu-like lupin said, a betta and snails-a little community tank is much more appropriate.
