currently trying to heal injuries before I start physical therapy school. I've always been active and into weightlifting, but have a couple of overuse injuries.

Currently doing calisthenics(body weight training), band exercises, single leg work, mat exercises with minimal weight as my stress fracture in L5-S1 heals. It's actually been refreshing doing bodyweight training after years of hypertrophy or powerlifting focuses.

I'll open up!
This year I have really been getting into sport at school (Final year of high school) and am currently taking part in swimming for fitness since I'm too old to be a competitive swimmer right now. I'm putting more focus on running and current PB for 5km trail run is 21:55.

Since I'm a 6'3" lightweight (165lbs) I haven't really dabbled in weights, but have put on about 8lbs last year with running, hockey and swimming. I do resistance training at gym but no straight weights. Swimming 4x a week and running about twice.

Goals for this year? Pull my 5km to 20:45 and be able to run a 10km in an hour or less.

Guess that's my messy intro. What's everyone else doing?
Hey Hendre, just giving a bump to this good thread and wondering how your 5K and 10K times are doing, any progress?

Well, I just realized I never got the chance to participate in this thread since it was started after my vacation.
Personally I’m trying to drop to 170 pounds or as close to it as I can before I start my senior year. Currently at 215. I recently bought an old treadmill and I have a home gym so I’m confident I can at least get back down to 199 before my final year at school.

Oh. Didn't know this thread existed.

But anyway. Main fitness goal for me is to dunk a basketball on 10 ft height rim Being 5'5" :popcorn:Was pretty damn close last year but I took a break. Trying to get back to that level
this year. Hopefully 40" standing vert and 48" running vert.

Just to show off a bit. :naughty:
Was able to barely touch the rim off of a standing vertical. Got my wrist on the rim with max running vertical at my peak.

Dang dude, you got some hops! At 5'5" it's impressive to touch the rim, let alone from a standing jump -- if you get to dunkin' I'm calling an NBA recruiter to come meet you lol. At 6' (and granted 52 yrs) I think I'd be luck to barely touch the rim with a running start -- not like high school days :(

Keep us up to date and we hope to see a future pic or vid of you throwin' down (wearing an MFK shirt would be even cooler :) ).

There are a few guys out there my height and shorter dunking already! It's insane.
I feel like I was definitely high enough to put one down but jumping and dunking is two different skills. Definitely need to practice on a lower rim.

Definitely up there.
