Star Bargain - What to Do?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The lad next doors got an oxy-acetylene torch, gonna cut two access holes in the top of the fuel tank with that. Could use a blow torch to burn off the oil, might be a bit more controled than a couple of gallons of petrol!

lol, you got two 720gallon tanks and most people would say that they are to big, but no, you came to mfk where they just HAD to suggest splicing them together:ROFL:. i think you should just go ahead and burn the inside of the fuel one, just dont do it in anyone elses yard

Huh.... too big??????? ... I don't get it ....

Those are awsome, Definetly put them together and put int a couple of windows... Your gonna need a hell of a heater though!!!...Not exactly as if your weather is Out door fish friendly LOL ... unless your planning to get a wels and put it in ther ;)

Yeah, erm, I think I might need some insulation lol! I'm gonna put a little greenhouse over the top of it (I hope), thinking about digging them in 2ft and wood clading them, we'll see... It doesnt actually get that cold here. Below zero is rare even in winter, it just feels REALLY cold cause its always wet and windy! Necro did okay with his outdoor pond! If I just put little strip windows in about 3 inches from the top, 10 inches deep, I think 6mm glass should do!

I have a feeling if you don't put a window in, your going to regret it somewhat later, however doing so is beyond me at the moment.
Anyhow, nice find for 40 bucks, looking forward to the updates.

Gothyc_samurai, Paullywolly... you two are truly NOT visionaries like the KING.

That could look cute, like his & hers potting sheds :screwy:(fake doors on the front would be fun).

I concur on the glass.

Burning off the oil could leave a hard (bonded) residue in the tank making for a more difficult removal process.

Seriously though ... couldn't you just pressure wash it off...I don't mean for like a min but like a really good pressure washing with that oil eating soap that they use for oil spills...
