The lad next doors got an oxy-acetylene torch, gonna cut two access holes in the top of the fuel tank with that. Could use a blow torch to burn off the oil, might be a bit more controled than a couple of gallons of petrol!
. i think you should just go ahead and burn the inside of the fuel one, just dont do it in anyone elses yard

I'm gonna put a little greenhouse over the top of it (I hope), thinking about digging them in 2ft and wood clading them, we'll see... It doesnt actually get that cold here. Below zero is rare even in winter, it just feels REALLY cold cause its always wet and windy! Necro did okay with his outdoor pond! If I just put little strip windows in about 3 inches from the top, 10 inches deep, I think 6mm glass should do!
(fake doors on the front would be fun).Funny ... I was thinking the same about your Avatar LOLGothyc_samurai;1555914; said:dude those things are ugly! wat u gna do?
Seriously though ... couldn't you just pressure wash it off...I don't mean for like a min but like a really good pressure washing with that oil eating soap that they use for oil spills...Dr Joe;1559544; said:Burning off the oil could leave a hard (bonded) residue in the tank making for a more difficult removal process.
