Stand is done!! will start on the canopy this weekend if i get time. i went with a natural oak finish, used 3 coats

Thanks man!! i am looking forward to getting started on the canopy, it wont be real tall but tall enough. with small doors. it wont lift up. i have learned building canopies that lift up , its freaks the fish out more then just opening a door to feed, now cleaning time i will remove it.
i have a lot laid out for the canopy so once i start cutting and getting down on it , it shouldn't take me but a day to finish. then i will get the tank up on the stand and give it all a fit together. and stand back and view me achievements
Canopy is almost done, i have to buy 2 more hinge kits, the doors just didn't feel stable enough the way it was. crown molding is on and most of the trim. i have to run to the store tomorrow and pick the rest of the hinges and the last of the trim, when i get the last 2 doors on and the rest of the trim i will get pics.
I am building an entire fish room in the garge this winter... and hope to get a new tank for the showroom and maybe a canopy for my current 120
canopies are really easy to do. there is no frame to them, so basically building a skin and that's it. but if done right it can be quite strong with no movement or play what so ever.
