Wow thats pricey . I just got 55 with wrought iron stand from pet store and it cost 160 thus assumed 200 gallon with stand wouldnt run over 400 to 500.

If you sell it for 400 than buy a new tank . I would think a brand new 200 gall from pet store with stand wouldnt be more than $500 .

I live in Indiana, and a 180, which i prefer over the 210 because of height is $600.00 TANK only, I see these tank prices especially in Calif. and want to PUKE. But i guess they have to compensate somehow for having no cool natives there :)

Well heres my story....I found my 75 Gallon tank used with a cover and the light fixture and the iron stand and a bucket of rock substrate and a brand new emperor 400 filter all for $150.00 Plus the guy delivered it to my house.

This is why ladies and gentlemen we go to a place called "Craigslist.com"
and save TONS of money on good used products.:headbang2

Craigs List is pretty cool that's for sure.....But when you have something as specific as a Monster Tank, this place is a better market I would think.

Some things are inexpensive here some are not as far as pets go . Tanks are a good price but in my old state of NY .
Tanks were roughly $1.50 to $2 a gallon regardless of size in my area of Long Island. Perhaps due to the zillion pet stores in area ..

So much for NY being expensive .

I could be wrong as biggest tank I have ever purchased was 55 gallons but going to find it will email a friend. I am going to pet store here now and will find out price on big tanks. I picked up 55 gall with stand but it was inexpensive and All Glass aquariujm not cheap junk.

Thats a good deal . I think by you in Queens you have Fish town in N.Blvd Flushing and another pet store by Kissena in Flushing .
fish Town has sales on tanks here and there.

The prices for tanks and stands are not bad at all for new .

I used to buy out in Long island .

Yeah the local pet shops have OK deals...But nothing beats Craigslist.com

On a daily basis people in NYC are getting rid of their monster tanks for like good prices and If I dont like the price I talk them down.

Trust me, people who post their aquariums on craigslist most of the time REALLY need to get rid of the tank for major reasons like a new landlord, or a new lease that prohibits the keeping of aquariums in these apartments and people become desperate to get rid of them. They wont play hard ball with me because I simply tell them "Oh well, good luck finding a buyer for that price range, call me when you have no choice but to junk it".

I usually get a call like either a few hours later after reaility sinks and they realize ok should I act stupid or take the offer while im ahead. BOOM:ROFL: They call me back and I end up with like a 200 gallon tank for like 300 dollars + accessories.

This is the situation in NYC , im not saying this would work in another state where the demand of getting rid of tanks is not as high as here.

But never turn away craigslist.com its the open market where bargaining is your first and last priority for used goods in excellent conditions.:)

The 220 gallon tanks here which I priced today at few pet stores ranged from $800 to $900 thus not nearly as inexpensive as I had originally thought.
