took mine back and got 2 fluval m series 300w heaters they didn't even ask any???? just did a straight trade

Without receipt. And no, I actually picked it up second hand about 2 months ago with the Fluval 404 I have.

Yeah i know you can get credit without the receipt. When i called the lady made it clear that it was store credit only. I think you are the first person to report to get cash back without the reciept.

I walked in and handed the girl the heater. and the paperwork for the heater. No packaging, no receipt. I had the wire zip-tied and I kept the suction cups. I told her I was returning this due to the recall. She checked the wattage and walked over to the shelf scanned something at the shelf with her gun and walked back to the register and handed me cash and a small receipt that says Return, and the cost of $42.99 I was expecting a gift card to. I have 5 more of them to return so I'll let you know if it just happens at the Petsmart in Old Bridge NJ, or if it happens again.

i returned 2 and got 2 aqueon pro 250 & 200 watts plus a $6 gift card for the difference (aqueons were on sale)

I just called my local Petsmart (Nanuet, NY). The manager said ANY stealth will be swapped out for credit or comperable heater.

Took mine back to petco and got aqueon 300 watt hope its a better heater, Eazy return mine was a month old and temps fluctuated..

return 4 today to petsmart got 157 cash! minus a couple albino oscars. My 13 year son has caught the fish bug from dear ol' dad. LOL!

I was getting worried that someone would raise the B/S flag on me and I'd have to take a picture of my return receipt showing Cash. Finally I'm not the only one that got Cash.

Haha. I for one never doubted you. Just wasnt sure it was an employee mistake or if it was just your store that did that. Does anyone know if there is a cut off date?

Darn, tossed all of mine out in frustration.

So did I but since I boutght them all from Dr Foster and Smith they gave me credit for
all 4 300w. So I am sure I can find something to replace them. This was after gettting
them replaced TWICE because all 4 failed TWICE. Marineland ended up sending me
4 VisaTherms instead. But I still get the store credit from Fosters and Smith..
I also have a several 250 and 200 that I am going to take back to Petsmart. Do you ]
need the email printed out and brought with them since I don't have a reciept.

I havent personally have brought any in yet but i was told that no reciept is necessary. I think people were bringing in the emails because some of the employees were not aware of the recall yet. Im sure by now they are expecting people to bring them in.
