Stingray issues, what can it be?

If one wet pair of swim trunks can contaminate a 20,000 gallon pool with chlorine in it. I cant I magine how small of an amount it would take to contaminate a aquarium. uv light salt and a strong imunne system will lead to less chances of getting fish even getting sick. If it happens the fish would have a better time fighting it of any thing off that is If anthing was in the water. What is easyer to treat 100 gallon tank or a 100 1 gallon tanks. If one fails its easy to medicate one tank rather thank the whole 100 gallons being comprimised. That is what I was stating. Water quality nutrition is prevention is what I was trying to not ramble through. Getting back to mold algea and bacteria, they break down waste and turn things into other chemicls toxic chemicls. Some molds and algees produce gases chemistry is life it finds a way to react. No disrespct all I was trying to say. Medince are good but I feel they are the run to and are over used and get less effective ofer time. The they have to produce super new chemicles. But if the fishies whould spend money on making fish heather then aquaruim diesies would not be so strong now What I was trying to say with out the rambling.

Poor water? Where the heck did you get that from? Is TDS 118, conductivity 212, nitrat 30, nitrit 0, ammonia 0, ph 7, KH 2 , GH 5 .. Is that poor? In that case i have really bad water into my house, becouse its pretty darn close to those numbers.. I change 700 liters a day through carbon and drip.

I dont see any relation to all the stuff you write, and what problem i have.. The only thing i dont have is an UV, plenty people dont have them, should i have one? Gues so. Would this problem never happen if i had? That we will never know.. People with UV`s never have diseas or anything? It must be a miracle cure those UV`s! Im Sorry, but i dont agree on that.
 
I am talking about all the bacteria fungus and mold that comes from tap water. No uv light to kill it. If your tank blooms with algee growth and there is chemicls you dont test for cyanide ect you wont see it it will posion your fish. There is more to chemisty then just numbers
 
Tor, just ignore this person. They are posting rubbish on loads of threads. One of the moderators needs to have a polite word with them. It is people like this that keep driving serious ray keepers away from here. I am seriously considering setting up an invite only website to enable serious ray keepers to discuss problems without getting people with no experience interfering with poor advice, when people like you need expert help. I like MFK but the ray forum does attract its fair share of trolls/unhelpful posters!

Sorry to see this Tor, Can't offer anything more than what others have posted but GL.
PS: I don't use a UV and don't believe it is the miracle cure or prevention that some seem to think it is.
 
Just ignore knowledge I have more experience and knowlege then most on here. Its the forums thats spread misinformation. Not me. I look on forums for audi all the time to laugh. WHAT YOU POST ON FORUMS IN MOST CASES IS NOT WHAT IS USED IN THE TRADES. The writups and what I do to get the job done professoinlay are not the same. I have tired to post a good source of knowlege no wonder all I see on here is fish death.
 
Seems that all the fish got sick what whould be the first thing I would look at water and what you are putting in the tank food ects. Something is building up wheather its by imput or organics. They are all sick. In a 1400 gallon tank one fish got the other sick and this would of never happennd if uv light was in place. Again fungus algee and bacteria will cause problems they make chemicals to live that are posions use.

I'm in the UV industry designing and building UV for medical, industrial and aquaculture use. Everything you said is rubbish. UV has its place but very mis-represented by what you are suggesting. By no means does my knowledge and experience in UV make me an expert in rays.
As you said this is a forum, everyone is free to post.
