Update ( if your interested)
I bought 6 electric blue acara about 3-4 cm in size (1-1.5inch)
and 10 diamond tetras.
The tetras had a disease, so 2 died almost immediatly (quarantine tank)
there where about 15 rummynose tetras in the tank at that time.
You where right rummys and EBA dont match so i have 2 left. The others eaten or bullied to death (no desease detected)
Everybody else getting along just fine with the full grown diamond tetras sometimes bullying the EBA's. (the tetras are about the same size if not a little bigger)
Now about 3 months later i find 2 EBA's off in a corner together, fending off everybody else. (defending territory, not hiding in a corner)
1 with ripped fins, the other real 'possessive'.
cant really tell if they male or female, they probably are.
Should i expect eggs? what do i need to do if they breed? Just leave them in there with the other EBA's and tetras or should i remove them?
And if i need to remove eggs, what do i need to do to succeed with as much fry possible?
