Do you know if the number of black vertical bars on the fish matter? All of the ones I see you post have 5 black vertical bars while all of the ones I have, have 6. I don't know if this is something that is also used to differentiate between Honduran red points vs regular black convicts (or crosses between the two)?Video link are previous page: 2022 generation 1" juveniles

I don’t think the number of bars really matter. They have a line of HRP that don’t have stripes at all. But who knows if those are true HRP.Do you know if the number of black vertical bars on the fish matter? I've seen those as well from local fish stores from time to time. I actually like those a lot too because the ones either bars always seemed to have better color than the ones with bars (that I've seen in person).I don’t think the number of bars really matter. It has been a question on my mind about the species for a long time. It makes me think of the different types of frontosa and the datnoids. I didn't know if that would be the same for these Honduran red points. Especially bc the stock I got from Ken has more bars compared to the stock that Kevin@TUIC has. I figured they would be the same since they all came from the same stock. But the ones I obtained looks different to me unfortunately ?Interesting question. My HRP female Pip has 7 bars (one broken bar), and her babies have 8 or 9. A couple are blanks, at least right now.
Also, did you have any pictures of your female HRP and her babies? Please share if you do.Interesting question. My HRP female Pip has 7 bars (one broken bar), and her babies have 8 or 9. A couple are blanks, at least right now.
