Yeah, that should be the average, or even the larger ones. But if they snack on bloodworms that early, maybe bigger!

LOL I don't think they actually ate any...trying tho :D

i'll take some :D

Do you want to keep them with the notatus or set up another tank? They are quite a bit smaller now and may not grow as fast...

well not yet, gotta get back to work first :D by the fall auction i'd like to pick a few up. try growing them with the notatus

well major new development today - the parents started some serious fighting, and hurt a few babies :(. I wonder if they are ready to breed again.....the male stays in the middle of the tank and forces the female into a corner....his head is all red...(ok orange).

babies are out into a 10g. not sure what to do ....need to move fish again...

congrats thats awesome

Hi Peter... How are they doing today??? Is the pair getting rough because they are trying to breed again?? maybe you need a larger tank?? Maybe you could try the ohs in the notatos 20 with a divider and see how it goes.. or are they so small they would get thru?? Maybe Ed has some ideas..
Do you have any idea how old the pair is or how old they need to be before breeding... My biggest from Ed has started getting a bit pushy and "feeling his oats".. he should be about 8/9 months old now and is about 3 1/2 inches... but I think he is still too young probably just one of those teenage guy things:ROFL::ROFL:..
Planning a visit to see the grandkids very soon and when we get back will probably have to make a visit down there with a cooler:ROFL::ROFL:... I'll let you know how it shakes out.. Or if any of you or Sean etc..are going to Jamie's get together (I can't attend unfortunately) I could meet someone along the way.. Keep us updated about the babies..
Sue:D

Thanks Sue. I lost about a dozen between the parents fighting and the moving...the rest are doing OK and eating well.

They were in a 55. I thought it would last longer than that :( My are probably 2yr old.

Have fun with your grandkids! Maybe you'll have "enough" of them and won't want to move anymore :D:D
