theres about 4-5" above the tank before the top of the stand, and its about 3" back from the opening so you can just slip u're arm up and over no problems. For larger access i can just stick my head through one of the door openings
Big tank on top... good.
smaller tank on the bottom... good
Strong base... good
it all looks awsome... very good
you can sculpt... good
the rocks look awsome and you didnt have to melt away the styrafome...good
U.G.J.S.... Exelent.
your current choice of rock colour... BAD!
OVERALL .... A+(if the rock was painted all the way you would have scored another plus )
I love it so far, i love the mothod that you went about doing this. and that is the base coat on the rock right? not the final product...
unfortunately after serveral trys at colouring the rocks it just wasn't happening (i can only get my hands on black, white and red colour to pigment the resin) and as such i ended up having to go with a dark grey for the final colour
but i can tell u that it looks way worse in the pics that it does irl. The colour irl doesn't look all that bad, just looks plain
been a while since i've updated this thread and still i havn't finished (only pumps to go but gotta get the money for them)
I've filled up the sump tank which will be a planted tank although its not heavily planted atm, and I just got the lights for the big tank today. Last two things to do is the make my canopy to mount the lights and have storage for my food/nets etc and to get 2 pumps, one to run the 2 FBF and one return to the tank.
Hopfully i'll have the pumps within the next week or 2 and the tank will start its cycle while i build the canopy.
I've changed my plan for the canopy a little bit as seen in the last pic, i'm opting for this design over my orginal concept just so its a bit easier for me to access the top of the tank.
