TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS STORY

The man shouldn't be charged with a crime. the kid should apologize for sneaking into the man's house, and see if he can get the cops to drop criminal charges. the daughter should also apologize to her dad for sneaking the kid in.

they were asking for it. I never went into a man/woman's house without his or her knowledge. never.

let this be a lesson to any teenagers on the forum: respect another man/woman's family and property, and assume he/she has the legal right and moral obligation to defend them in case they are disrespected.

Edit: added /woman, and /she.

before I just said man and he. expect a woman to defend her house also. no doubt.

Assuming it was no rape, what the father should have done was close the door - from the outside - and let the kids know, in no uncertain terms, that the boy was expected to be out of the house in 30 seconds.

AT THAT HOUR , HALF SLEEP, IN THE DARK WHO CAN SEE IF ITS A KID OR A KILLER? THE ONLY FOLKS THAT WOULDA SHUT THE DOOR AND GAVE THEM 30 SECONDS WOULD BE THE WALTONS/ BRADY BUNCH. SNEAKING INTO A DWELLING AT NIGHT IS A BLATANT DISREGARD OF RESPECT TO HIM HIS HOME AND OR HIS PROPERTY. HE HAS A RIGHT TO PROTECT IT.
 
I think the blame should be evenly divided between the father daughter and young man.

Father- creating a home where the daughter can not reveal that she has a bf for over a year and assuming that his daughter wouldn't do such a thing because he is so strict.

Daughter- knowing he father is so strict, still brings the boy into her house, putting him in that situation.

Young man- being loud, naked in the middle of the night. LOL.

My opinion is that parents need to be more open with their children and more accepting. That doesn't mean that they can't instill values that they deem proper, but their children should not be terrified to approach the parents long before this situation occurs. If anything he has probably driven his daughter farther away from himself both by hurting the boy and by embarrassing his daughter both personally and publicly. What do you think school was like for her monday morning now that everyone knows that her father bashes young men in the head with a pipe? I'm sure she's not winning homecoming queen...

The boy and girl should get together and thank the father for not running the boy down. And more open?... accepting? The daughter is under 18 and still the responsibility of the father.

1ST we cant assume that he was that strict. 2nd my parents were very late when my mom found my protection. like 2years late. some things arent discussed but rather shared between 2 people. 3rd who cares about the embarassment on monday. they should have thought about the consequences of their actions a year ago. they probably told her "shame on you for him bringing some boy into your dads house like that. do you know it could have been worse and he could have been killed. seriously, thats a dangerous game that you were playing together." i hope thats what someone may say to her. lastly i sure hope that that kids parents sit him down and explain to him how wrong he was and how lucky. then call the girls parents and make arrangements for him to apologize to dad and da may apologize for busting his head. i doubt that happens though.

they would be who those would come up with a fit for tv ending like the one you suggested. my point was that just doesnt happen in the real world.
