Love the reds. Always wanted 1 of them but no idea where to get them around here..
What does everyone feed their Texas?? Mine won't touch feeders hardly likes any pellets ill give her and blood worms is def her favorite..

It seems to be quite common that texans won't really chase after feeders (they will eat feeders if it's convenient, but otherwise they'd just scavenge for stuff). I feed mine pellets and occasionally blood worms.

Yall no what's ironic about them they personality is crazy I seperated my male Texas from the female after he fertilized the eggs and this was about 2 weeks ago I tried to feed him for the longest he would not eat today was the first time he ate that's crazy...I tried all the fish treats he still wouldn't eat like he was stressing......

Def a lot of personality to them and mine did the same thing a few years ago when I bred them. The male went super aggressive so I separated them and he went off his food for a week....

I've Never had a Texas eat feeders which kinda sucks but this female won't touch the hikari cichlid gold and sometimes picks at the spectrum cichlid formular
