Thanks all, this was a long time coming. I just kept my eyes open for the right deal and when it did I jumped. :)

Bad new is the tank does not hold water though, there was one suspect spot that was pointed out to me and sure enough it does drip. Not a big deal though, it should be easily fixed by Cementing a small square of Acrylic over the bad spot. Someone who owned it before Pharaoh also thought it would be fun to Silicone in all the seams, I can only assume because of said drip and they assumed it would fix it... Well considering I can peel it away nearly effortlessly I don't think it did much. Most of you all know Silicon doesn't stick to Acrylic.

Trying to decide if I want to go over all the seams with Weld On or just patch the one bad spot and call it done.

The Good news is that with water in it most of the scratches disappear. So once I do buff it out it should look even better full.

I thought that spot looked kinda sketchy. I would go over the seams and just look for inconsistencies. Redoing the whole thing might not be necessary, but I guess it wouldn't hurt.

Tank looks bigger in your kitchen than it did in the basement. Glad you saw the side with "front" written on it. LOL

I should have worked a couple XP3s in on that deal. I love those filters. haha

Can't wait to see it finished.

Yea, the rest of the seams looked pretty good so far. I can't find any other spots that really concern me. I had about 4-5" or so of water in it so the only spots that haven't been tested are the vertical seams on the side panels but none of them look bad to me. I have a feeling I would just make a mess trying to reseal the seams when it really may not be needed anyway so perhaps it's best I just fix the one spot and call it done.

And yea, it takes up just a wee bit more room in my kitchen than it did in your basement. Might be a little to big for that space but that means it is just right. ;)

very nice tank :)

LOL, actually it will have some cats. Not sure what kind though, likely either some Synos and/or some of the smaller SA cats.

I'm going to have to correct you there. I can still see floor space.... it not big enough. You need a bigger tank. LOL
