that is a plethora of posting. AMEN MIKE! It's called elasticity, that's why the corporations can fudge on the prices to fatten their coffers. You WILL buy gas.

if your worried about gas prices why not just get small chinese cars sure not as cool but much more efficent that big suv and such.

I am not a fan of Chinese cars but Hyundai*sp makes some very fuel efficient cars nowadays.

We buy enough stuff made in China as it is. It will be a cold day in Hell before I would ever even consider buying a car that was "Made in China".

I get tired of hearing people complain about the price of gas. Blaming it on "Big Oil", "Bush Cheney Haliburton", etc. etc. Yes, It's true, prices are at all time highs and it's scary thinking about them getting higher. I like to complain about my cable/broadband and cell phone bill debating on whether it is neccesary. Not easy having to sacrifice a bit to make ends meet. Blaming is the easy way out, sometimes it takes a bit of pain to get us off or lazy ***es to make things happen. This is a global economy for sure and all the development in China and India has greatly increased demand. Alternative fuels are not going to just happen overnight and are not the complete answer. We all need to be more efficient and conserve demanding development of more domestic oil resources as well as alternative energy. The electric bills this summer are really gonna S#ck!

i say drilling in alaska in the answer. 10 billion barrels of oil just sitting there. we'd prob by paying $2/gallon right now

Wrong... The U.S goverment does not own the oil in alaska, the oil company's that placed the pipleines do. And if your caught up on the situation here, you know that one reason we are paying so much is do to nations like china now devloping and mordernizing transportation. therefor the oil company's will sell the oil to the highest bidder. (Currently China and other nations not the U.S) it is predicated that the U.S will get about 5% of the oil if drilled in alaska- 95% goes everwhere else.

IMO- what we have to do is somehow get, china's government and other now devloping nations goverments to place restrictions on gas consuptions on family's. (Same deal with the one child rule). Increase there mass transit systems (Bus's and Trains) and stray from individual people for there own cars. This might have a positive outcome.

i feel really bad for my generation. im 13 right now and when im driving and there still aint no solution thats gonna sucks:irked:!!!!
