The Masked Shadow’s Adventure/Vacationing Thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wow, looks like this thread went a bit weird while I was asleep!
The scenery looks really cool, like some scene from a cowboy movie. Maybe The Masked Shadow The Masked Shadow should get himself a sombrero, poncho and donkey so he fits in with the vibe.

I did some googling, apparently the rockstar who died was called Gram Parsons, he ODed there in the early 70s. Im not familiar with his music but hes metioned quite a bit in Keith Richards autobiography so must have lived the life back then, unfortunately he didnt make it.

Also to keep with the seedy theme, Hooters launched here a few years back but most of them closed pretty quickly. Theres 1 left up on the gold coast which is a cheesy tourist area, probably attracts young 18 year olds on their first holiday away from the parents. I remeber freinds who ate there saying the food was pretty crap. Theres lots of nice resteraunts here and real strip bars too so I would guess if you were hungry and wanted to see knockers you could eat somewhere with good food then go to the strippers and see the uncensored version. Maybe if you were in a hurry you could go to Hooters but it wouldnt fully satisfy either of your appetites.

Moving on from that lovely stripper topic, I just climbed a rock mountain with my dog. He is amazing, and climbed, running up steep slopes and letting me pull out a cholla from his paw. He kept going after that

Joshua trees grow around Fresno but they are not native to this area . . . we just have the right climate. The whole place would pretty much be a desert except for 170 years of irrigation.

Anyway you look at it, you can color me jealous, Vacation-wise.

I would love to bail out for a short vacation to the desert or the tropics, but we are still sort of on lockdown here and I would have to find somebody willing to tend my fish.

If I don’t feed them on schedule they tear each other up.
