The most aggressive fish i have ever seen.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
All I can say is wow. I would have never thought that that those two fish would breed, much less keep the peace long enough for fry to develop.

Tank size has a lot to do with aggression. Put him in an 8 foot 240 gallon tank and you might discover he is actually not that bad.

Sorry, all out of 8' tanks at the moment, and even if I had a few laying around, I would not dedicate them to a 11.5" fish. I am sure you are right, but a 90 to 110 would be the largest I would go for this fish solo, and a 125 if he had a mate. Even with larger accommodations I think this fish would be of the same temperament.

that is my tank, the midas were sold as the aggression was increasing, they only used to fight when they were spawning, incidentally they started spawning atm the same time then it was decision time, i chose to keep the midas rather than dovii.

I would love to have a Midas that looks like that. He is beautiful and very aggressive

Same here, this is my third one and they are the best.

Ben is busy being the model fish, I am starting to get a little annoyed with his antics thoughShould I just take him out of the tank to clean it?

Haha awesome RD. Try one of the blade edged algae cleaners, its obviously got a long handle so you can avoid being bitten, just make sure to keep it flush against the glass so your fish doesn't hurt himself.
