The future of our children is in jeopardy

This was this morning's field trip down to the neighborhood Christmas tree farm. We watch them move the trees with the helicopter and then put tags on the trees. The tags have a little poem asking people to write back. We've had replies from as far away as Hong Kong!

We also watch them make garland and wreaths. One of the neat things is that several of our families work at this farm, the owners' kids used to go to our school - It's like going home for a lot of the students.

I have dial-up at home, so I have to post the pictures a few at a time, and at pretty low resolution

Anyways, I love this trip, we do it every year.

I wish someone would have sent the link on this. I am a teacher, but you all hate me, I work at a dreaded charter school!!!!!!

Stealing kids, teaching the same kids on private school money, but with all the crappy public school rules...lol

I have a turtle tank in my room. I will try to get some pictures. The kids love it. I offer feeders for extra credit!

I love my kids. HECK it is my Birthday and I am still at school tutoring students.

Could you share more info on Charter Schools, how they work and how they differ from the public and private sector? Why are they so hated? Pro's and Con's for teachers? Do you still have tenorship? union? etc.

Set up my little con tank in my classroom yesterday. The kids are amazed. Suprised at how many of them had fish tanks (though none could tell me what kind of fish they had). It was great for me watching a drug dealing ganster very carefully draw the female con. Think i will have eggs here soon... aww the circle of life. So much in common about between my cons and my kids, besides the fact that most are cons themselves.
1. fight over territory
2. try to show off for the ladies
3. females willing to throw-down just as quick as the males
4. and, sadly, ready and willing to breed at early age (couple of my 7th graders are expecting)
