My dad, life long teacher and a great fisherman (i taught him everything he knows), runs this summer program for native alaskan at risk youth. The focus of this program is to strengthen ties to the native culture. Check out the hatchery visit in Sitka.

Charter school is a public school not run by townships or counties. They have to follow all the same rules and are heavy reuglated. They are often smaller schools, who have to do the same jobs as a high school on less money. I work at an Early College. We remove some of the fluff time in high school and offer many dual credit classes to help remove barriers and myths about college to students. A student can earn a 2 year degree or finish two years of college by graduation time. It is an attempt to redisgn high schools. Many state schools are doing the same things, but they call them programs within a large school. Charter school can be funded partly by businesses or grants and then some State Money. They instead make a small school enviroment. https://echs.ltschools.org/

Best if you ask questions and I can answer those.

I saw Adam and jJamie today at the NSTA convention in Portland!

They spoke to a group and then signed some autographs. I sprinted around the outside of the convention center to beat the masses (there were about 3,000 people attending their talk) and be the first one in line for an autograph!
:headbang2

I got a signed picture, plus I got them to sign my Silver Crest Rocket Club T-shirt!

Photos later when I get home...
