Thats normal for that plant, the plant is adjusting to your water, aslong as the steam is not rotting the leaves will grow back, i had the same problem i just let it be.
You were totally right. They are growing back, though the del keeps digging them up. Heh.

I think you guys were on to something about my phosphates being extremely high, thus causing algae. I know that’s been an issue in the past with the numbers being off the charts.

Nice polys dude.
Thanks man, really appreciate it! They are quite the hilarious bunch.

The black lines on the fern are normal most of the leaves that are there now will probably turn brown and die but will be replaced be new ones before the old ones die. Then the new ones that are acclimated to your tank will be good and new will grow.
That’s cool and also makes sense. Really appreciate the advice with the plants. I noticed there were some tendrils growing off the dying ones, so I planted them in the sand. For fern reproduction, is it true that you need to rub the leaves together on the pores?

magpie magpie : Soba and Macaroni reinventing the original derp picture where Macaroni was looking over Soba. Now it’s Soba’s turn!

Not sure on the rubbing thing. You need to keep the rhizomes above ground though. Attach to rock or wood use super glue or thread.
Pic look great!

I took mine out and put it on a different tank, its keeps getting dug out and keeps on floating which is annoying.
