Try chemi-pure elite in your filter. It removes phosphates, nitrates and silicates and controls algae. I’ve been using it for a month now and no more green spot algae or black beard. I haven’t cleaned the glass in weeks and fish look like there flying it’s my new favorite filter media.

Thanks everyone! Really appreciate all the love from the MFK family. We need to make shirts.

The polys have been quite happy since they are back on their every 5 day 75% WC schedule. I was in Ohio for 4 days, so they had to go a week without a change. They are soooooo spoiled lol.

Sevs: I have 5 polys in a 55g right now. Trying to work my way into a 90gal because the foot print is similar...except wider. And that is probably more feasible than a 120 right now.Only problem then is that I might want to get more mokes. DMD123 DMD123 , the moke addiction is real :)

UJs!!!!

gonna try my nitrate filter first, them either this or phosguard. I've hear chemi-pure is good. I've tried purigen, but I'm cheap haha.

Hi Soba!

And of course Macaroni derps right up to the camera. LOL

Can't wait for you to get your 90! :D It'll be better for the fish but also likely less maintenance! Get on that - the 55 might just explode any minute now. It's totally a ticking time bomb.
(Read that to your parents.)

It's a strong no from my parents right now. That's okay I can wait a bit; I have grad school apps to do anyways. The ones I've been seeing for 90 gals are $400-$500+ and this is glass/no sump. a little pricey imo.

Today I added an extra 10 pounds of black sand to the tank. Although I prefer the white substrate and it's a lot easier to see the polys on....I want to see if the mokes get more green. If I hate it (the tank looks like an oreo right now), I'll just add more PFS.
