Lol I know man its a pretty hot topic. Thanks again for the hook up! As you can see im trying to do it justice and keep it as long as possible!.

Been doing some talking with my friends who are gifted in the art of acrylic, the tank is going into the basement in either 8' or 10' lengths then being bonded back together down there... so the tank will be either 16' or the full 20' span... you all talked me into it ;) test fill in the basement will be a little nerve racking but oh well least ill have all eyes on the tank as its getting filled!!

My suggestion is cut it in half so you can get it downstairs. Then rebuild it with acrylic reinforcements on the outside for support. I'm thinking something like a frame with supports every 5ft or so tied together across the top. That way you get strength without taking too much away from the view. At only 23" tall the pressure can be easily managed.

Cant wait to see this buddy! That is some serious dedication and that is most of our dream tanks. Good luck and we all hope you succeed. Keep the progress pics coming. AWesome to have your other half on the same page when it comes to something like this.

Dang Dane 7 pages already! Glad to see the tank made it home safe!

Just out of curiousity did you ever set the tank up? I know you had it for quite a few years.

On another note, is it possible to bring it in through a window? (most likely not being a basement)

It is nice not having to fight her with my hobbies. She is a discus fan so as long as her tank is stocked she fully supports anything I do with my tanks lol. Im thinking first step will be taking the saw to the tank, next will be building the stand in two 8' sections. After that its all about Weldon #40 and lots of it for supports lol. This weekend is booked bull**** I plan on getting started on this reasonably soon... I just want to wait a week to sit on my "plan" before I do anything ill regret or "didn't think of" later
