Hey again people,
Got plenty of money for Christmas and was thinking of a new herp. My local exotic store has a Cane Toad about 6" long for £20 and I'm contemplating getting it. I saw a huge adult one in the store earlier this year and have been fascinated since.

Obviously, I've done some research, but the recommended tank size varies and I'm not sure what kind of precautions to take concerning their poisonous nature.

Any help appreciated,
Thanks,
Paul

Yeah go for it! Think of them as a Pyxie Frog that is more active. They have pretty big appetites as well. What size tank do you have in mind for one?

I can't believe somebody would actually want one of those. I got them in my backyard and I'd ship em all to you for free if I could. I mean they are freakin ugly as sh*t. They get big as hell too. Good luck with that.

Sometimes we take for granted what we have living in our own backyards. ;)

Amazing amphibs actualy one of my favorites;) Never owned one but had several other Bufo species and they were increadeble pets:D As for poison dont lick them, dont kiss them, keep them apart from kids and other pets, handle them gently, dont forget to wash your hands and your safe

If you decide to get it make sure it's eating. I've heard they can be a bit shy and prone to going off feed unlike the pyxies and horned frogs.
