sounds like lots of fun!!
the real fun will be when the lights go out
Isn't that the truth...
I plan on doing the same with this tank as the other tanks the Armatus have been brought up in, normal lights during the day and blue moonlights at night. Hopefully they play nice. If not the lights will have to stay on. Ha ha!
This may seem wreckless on my part but I've been working on this for a long time. Assuring all fish have what I feel is a proper upbringing. I may have to leave the hobby in the upcoming months. That being said I had to try this before its too late. My last hoorah if you will. I've just worked too hard to get this far and then have to break up the collection before I tried to achieve the end result. If it works... Great! If not, then maybe the research I've done up to this point will help everyone else that is trying to achieve a respectable collection of different species of predatory Characins that can live together without killing one another.
I would feel a lot safer IF I was able to add a big shoal of silver dollars, tinfoils, or some type of dithers. Unfortunately my financial state won't allow me to do this so I have no choice but to hope it will still work without.
Just wanted to explain where I stand before anyone asks why I'd try such a risky combination. I've raised several batches of most of these species and have continually made changes to attempt to achieve a successfull end result. Wish me luck. Considering what's swimming in this tank, I'll need all the luck I can get. This may be one of the last threads I do like this. Hopefully not but definetly a possibility. If you've read this far and are following this thread- Thank you. I assure you the pics and vids will get posted as soon as the weather permits.
If anyone has any kind of questions please feel free to ask and I'll gladly answer them the best I can.
Thanks again to those who have been following along in these Characin adventures. Its been a pleasure having your company!! Vamptrev, Channarox, Mad ness, Krichardson, Hybridtheory, R1ridah, Krswop1, Jlnguyen74, you all have been part of the inspiration behind this "dream tank" of mine. For that I thank all of you. And especially thank you to Killarbb for giving a great home to all the misfits, outcasts, murderers, and runts.
