Their pattern changes a lot when they’re small my guy is about 7-8” now and every inch he grows his pattern changes. Pics shows him from about 3” to now.

Their pattern will always change as they grow. That’s what I noticed with all the tigs I’ve cared for.

I have added ghost shrimp and black worms to the tank (all live) but have not seen him eat, doesn’t look like he’s eaten either.. when should I start to be concerned? Behavior looks normal sort of just taking cover occasionally swimming around

I don’t think he is more than 2-3 months in age, instincts/prey drive aren’t such of a bichir, wolf fish, or pbass, you really gotta stick the food in his face but he is eating. I didn’t get the gluten in the video ?

Dee Eng, bro, this is just my opinion (and I know I've mentioned it before on your thread ... but before I thought it was just a funny photo angle). I have never seen or known of a sb tig. But if I ever imagined one, it'd look precisely like yours. This is not just a well-fed tig, this is not a normal looking tig, the proportions are way off. I don't mean to argue. Just stating my take. My take doesn't have to mean anything to anybody, at least I don't expect it.
