Tigrinus Tips

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Shrimp are high in thiaminase. Something to keep in mind. Long term feeding of shrimp will lead to a deficiency in vitamin B1, withering, and death.

Pellets may be ok. I'd not bother with worms and bloodworms. These are only good for small fish. I'd go for frozen fish fortified with VitaChem.

I will try soaking etc with frozen silversides/shrimp, thanks for the tips. For now they have been moved to a 40 breeder, the jardini and bichir accept pellets so hoping that helps. I had a bass hold out on pellets for almost 2 months but finally caved even though the other bass & fish in the tank all accepted them.
