IMG_1246.JPG I remember this from my sump build. Nothing worse than being all gooey from epoxy and picking up a crooked strip of fiberglass. I couldnt find any strips so I will have to make my own

IMG_1247.JPG Once the epoxy is mixed, I know I will be in panic mode. I organized all my precut strips easy to get to. Trust me on this. I still have nightmares about the sump I built. I am so glad I did not attempt a big build at that time.

IMG_1248.JPG Using clear to fiberglass. Taking my time. So far it is going better than my sump did. I am using 4" strips of fiber glass. Will sand and overlap with 5" strips. Not pretty, but as long as it holds.

Looking really good. I don't think I have ever used/seen that sandpaper before, so it as good as the package says? Seem quicker/easier than traditional paper?
Almost works too good! I had to back off a bit, took it down to wood in a few spots

Here is a photo of the sump I keep referring to. It was built inside a 75 gal stand.

I really wanted to build a plywood aquarium at the timeSump.jpg , but I chickened out. Glad I put it off, I needed to gain some experience. This was just before I drilled the pocket holes.

Ok break over back to the fiberglass

IMG_1249.JPG IMG_1252.JPG IMG_1253.JPG I picked up a dozen or so cheap paint brushes and pails. No cleaning these things! Paint stirs I can recycle.

Will Inspect after work tomorrow. The way Im building this, I will only have one shot at a water tight tank.

Signing off for the weekend
