To all younger fish keepers. 25 and under

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my ex hounded me about the fish. i just told her to shut up about it or leave. she left, among other reasons as well.

My girlfriend has a 10 gallon that I bought her with tiger barbs, black skirt tetras, and two corys.

She says she hates the maintenance and that she does not want them but I know she does because she even knows the personalities now and I catch her talking about them and the silly things they do.

plus when I am at her house we just sit in the living with the tv on but we just stare at the tank and not the tv.

Im slowly getting into her head and convincing her that a nice 55 gallon would look elegant in the living room...lol

i know how it feels thats why my fish keeping is a hobby is a secret only my family and 1 of my friends know.......

Lol, I can't believe it's considered nerdy over there.

How could anyone think owning monster fish is nerdy? Do people over there also think fishing is nerdy?

well they think i spend to much on them and yea they think fishing is boring they don't want anything to do with fish:irked::irked: if the school new i would be less popular then the "nerds" o well i have the power to kick every single one of their a** and girls still like me so its cool:ROFL::ROFL:

What? fishing, boring? Where did Americans go wrong, quick move over here, you can live happily ever after with your fish, and you don't need to keep it a secret.

....also, my Fiance is American, I wonder if she thinks I'm nerdy because I own fish and go fishing? I'll ask her when she wakes up. If she does, I'll try tell her it's normal and considered cool to keep fish and go fishing.

Only the manliest of men go fishing 8D

Nahh, fishing is normal at least where i'm from.

I come from a very intolerant area of the US and have lived in the same house my whole life, so my perspective on the affairs of the whole US may be slightly skewed.

Around here, you hunt, you fish, you play a little football, you go to church on Sundays, you speak unintelligently, and you drink heavily. The only one of those i do is play football ;). Fishkeeping is more "new-age" than the a lot of the guys around here are used to.
