I'm 21, and no one gives me crap about my fish. They usually expect to hear I have a 5 or 10 gallon tank, and are amazed when I tell them about my 34 and 55 in my apartment. Several of my friends have tanks, but they only keep around 10 gallons. On a side note, I think the apartment management crapped their pants when they saw my tanks here, but there's nothing in my lease agreement about tank sizes!
Keeping fish is something that I have always done privately...not many people outside my family have ever seen my fish in person.
From the friends that have seen my collection...they never made fun of me..they just couldn't get their head around the fact that I was willing to spend so much cash on it.

Maybe I should keep it a bit more private lol. Only my close friends know really because they are at my house all the time, the occasional random person strolls through with them so they know. For the most part its just them.
I'm with Steve_89, I don't tell too many people. Its my hobby and I like to keep it that way. A few people from around town have seen all my tanks. They just get that stupified look on their face and then say, "that's nice". LOL
Pharaoh I'm going to have to see your tanks, I'm moving back to Indy in exactly a month lol. I think I saw a picture or a post of yours that said you ride?
